State Testing - NJGPA - Grade 11 - March 16-20

THE NJGPA IS REQUIRED FOR GRADUATION. ALL STUDENTS IN GRADE 11 MUST TAKE THIS ASSESSMENT.

This is the State of New Jersey’s first year with a new standardized testing system in many years. We are doing all we can to ensure that our students have everything in place to perform at their best. We will be meeting with students to explain to them the testing process and the state has provided information sessions for parents.

All Testing Days will run on a Delayed-Opening Testing Schedule and rotations continue uninterrupted. For the entire week:

Students in grade 11 should report by 8:20 a.m. to their testing location.

Testing locations will be shared the week prior to testing.

Students in grades 9, 10, and 12 should report to school no later than 10:15.

Buses only run once, at the normal time. Any student who cannot get to school for the later start will be able to work in the PAC.

Talk Kind

Parents/Guardians, we need to have an honest conversation as a community. Our children are growing up surrounded by language online and offline that is harsher, louder, and more harmful than what many of us experienced. Even when they don’t use it, they are immersed in it and it shapes how they speak, joke, and treat one another. This isn’t about blame; it’s about recognizing the environment our kids are navigating and deciding, together, how we want to respond. The letter here shares why this moment matters and how, as a community, we can help raise the level of respect, courage, and care in the world our kids are growing up in.
