Dear Cedar Hill Families,
We packed a TON of fun into this last week. After learning about great inventions, our 4th graders became inventors themselves and built an amazing classroom arcade! Using cardboard boxes, classroom craft supplies, and plenty of imagination, they designed creative games and fun prizes like stickers, pencils, origami, and positive quotes. To top it all off, Ms. Avena’s class invited their buddy class for one final bonding experience. Fifth-graders showcased their skills at the Talent Show and got a sneak peek of today's Clap-Out on Wednesday as graduating seniors came back to their Cedar Hill home to walk the halls one last time!
We are excited to announce that two of our teachers were awarded BTEF grants in the areas of social studies and multilingual learning. We'd like to thank the BTEF, as well as Mrs. Hughes and Mr. Bae, for all of their dedication to our students!
Please keep an eye out for occasional updates throughout the summer as we prepare for the new school year. If you'd like to get a head start on back-to-school shopping, click HERE to access the school supply list.
Reminder: for next year, we are moving from MySchoolBucks to PaySchools as our payment system for the school lunch program (as well as other services). Current year lunch program balances in MySchoolBucks will not automatically transfer to PaySchools. Families with a remaining balance at the end of the school year should email the Food Service Director, Chris Robert at crobert@bernardsboe.com to request a refund. A check will be mailed to the address on file.
We have an abbreviated 1:10 PM dismissal today, June 19. Please pack a lunch as the cafeteria will be closed. Aftercare will run from dismissal through 6 PM. Report cards will be available in the Genesis Parent Portal after 10 AM tod.
